At the time of this 1931 photograph, the former Strongsville High School building at right was still in use as an elementary school. To the left is the gymnasium that was built in 1921, along with the larger high school facility behind this structure.

The former high school and elementary school building, constructed in 1908 and remodeled in 1916, is now headquarters for the Strongsville City Schools and the board of education. The original gymnasium is part of Center Middle School. (Amy Anter.)
